Medicine direct from the heart of the world...

Wyld Medicine

I believe in the healing power of our sweet mother earth. Modern lifestyles, pollution and food choices have all led to the alienation of our species from Earth and the others that we share our home with. This leaves our spirit hungry, restless and longing for something more. Through relearning our ancient way of knowing, reconnecting to the source, we can again become whole and live in joyfulness.

I started my training in the upper reaches of the Amazon under the guidance of shaman Don Jaime in 1998. Since then I have attended 3 separate massage courses at the Thai National School of Medicine, Wat Po, Bangkok, spent time with 3 different tribes in Kenya learning the ancient ways of the medicine men, studied Plant Spirit Medicine with Eliot Cowan, and apprenticed with Stephen Harrod Buhner in the art of Sacred Plant Medicine. I have also learnt ceremony with metis from both Cherokee and Mohawk decent.

I offer a combination of these ancient earth based & time proven therapies along with contemporary wisdom to create a unique and deep reaching healing modality. My work centres on self empowerment & rebalancing the body's energy systems. It works at the deep level of spirit, enabling people to find their path to well being and wholeness.

Physical ailments often have their roots in a spiritual imbalance, an unwellness within, which causes the physical manifestation of the symptom.  Allopathic (western) medicine focuses on treating these outward symptoms.  However, without looking for a deeper cause this often just has the effect of pushing the real disease back inside only to emmerge again at a later date, in a different form and most often more serious.  With Wyld Medicine I work with the root cause of your discomfort, consequently it is very deep reaching in its effect and will touch you on many levels (spiritual, emotional & physical).

Treatment involves an initial consultation of 1.5 - 2 hours where your physical, emotional & spiritual symptoms will be assessed. Follow up treatments last approx one hour and may involve body work, guided meditation, inner child work and/or walks into the wyldness of the world to find and make relation with specific plants that are calling and offering their assistance to your plight. Personal work will often be required between sessions and as such a true commitment to self healing is required.

Cost:

Initial consultation £50

I also happily give Thai Massage as a separate entity:

Thai massage is an ancient healing art, originating over 2500 years ago in India.  It is sometimes known as "Thai Yoga Massage" due to the many stretches incorporated into the sequence.  It is a combination of these stretches & the manipulation of energy points & consequently the energy flow in the body that create this unique healing system.  Benefits include relaxation, stretching, rejuvenation, blood & lymph stimulation, & the release of energy blockages.

Traditional Thai Massage (1 hour)       £35

Traditional Thai Massage (1.5 hours)   £45

Thai Foot Massage (approx 45mins)     £30

Traditional Thai with Energy Body Realignment (1.25 hours) £40

Plant Spirit Medicine

Plant Spirit Medicine uses Classical Chinese Medicine to diagnose the root of the patients physical & emotional challenges, whilst drawing on ancient shamanic techniques to deliver the medicine offered by the plant spirits.  The plant spirits show themselves & the medicine they have to offer the individual practitioner through shamanic journeying.  It is a gentle & non invasive form of healing that works on a deep emotional & spiritual level.

This medicine is based on the work of, and taught by Eliot Cowan.  For more information about this method of healing or to find a practitioner in your area visit http://www.plantspiritmedicine.org.uk/
