After completing a degree in physical geography in 1995, Rachel Corby, spent several years working on a variety of environmental & permaculture projects.  She has trained in Sustainable Land Use (which included a full permaculture design course), Traditional Thai Massage, Plant Spirit & Sacred Plant Medicine, herbal remedy preparation, shamanic techniques and ceremony.  Through this wealth of experience and training she has found that what at first seemed to be a set of abstract ideas drawing closer together, each an equally valid part of the matrix, this wonderful web of life.

Rachel has been drumming for groups, journeying to nature spirits and running workshops encouraging people to understand and communicate with nature on a deeper level since 2006.  She has built up her healing practice from simple Thai massage in 2000 to incorporate working with plant spirits and the physical bodies of plants.  This way of working touches the client on the physical, emotional and spiritual level to give a deep reaching medicine, which helps people to live from their hearts and feel more empowered, fulfilled and joyful in their lives.  More recently Rachel has had her writing published in various magazines, including Permaculture Magazine and Home Farmer.

She believes our culture has created a separation, an alienation from the rest of nature, and that our souls do not sit happy with this.  Pollution, lifestyle & dietary choices perpetuate this situation, increasingly bringing chronic & degenerative diseases and mental health issues into our daily lives.  Every thought, every action ripples out and affects the world around us.  Through healthy diet and lifestyle a step toward reconnection with the rest of nature can be achieved and with that a new level of responsibility for self and all other life forms will emmerge.
